Themed Economic Empowerment #EmbraceEquity, CIMB’s flagship fashion and lifestyle platform continues to catalyse economic empowerment for SMEs and individuals

 

Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Bank Berhad and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (collectively “CIMB” or “the Group”) has launched the second edition of the Bazar Siberturahim Fashion Fest, a fashion and lifestyle event presented by CIMB Preferred. Following the highly successful event in 2022, this year’s edition will showcase an exclusive preview of Raya collections and a specially curated bazaar to present customers and visitors with a unique lifestyle shopping experience. The event, themed Economic Empowerment #EmbraceEquity, will be held at the Sime Darby Property KLGCC International Gallery, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur from 2 – 5 March 2023. 

 

The line-up of brands that will be featured at the showcase include some of Malaysia’s most creative designers, such as Radzuan Radziwill, 3thelabel, Bahari Asyek, Anuar Faizal, CARRO, Larney, LILIT., Omar Ali, Pink Jambu, NR Exclusive, and Sri Candy, together with lifestyle brands, such as Raida, MyMutiara, Mah Meri and Gentleman’s Tonic.

 

The Bazar Siberturahim Fashion Fest by CIMB Preferred serves as a key initiative in delivering comprehensive wealth solutions to CIMB’s emerging and affluent clients in a holistic and targeted approach. Adding to the line-up, this year's event will also include a series of talks and workshops focusing on hibah, takaful and inheritance, providing CIMB Preferred customers as well as visitors the opportunity to learn more about Islamic wealth and legacy planning.

 

Ahmad Shahriman Mohd Shariff, Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Islamic said, “The Bazar Siberturahim Fashion Fest is a flagship initiative by the Group that is aimed at economically empowering local businesses that are still reeling from the pandemic and providing a marketplace for business owners to feature their value propositions, whilst connecting them with customers through a unique shopping experience. The talks, as well as panel sessions, woven in between fashion shows include the following:

  • Economic Empowerment Talks throughout the event led by advocator of financial literacy, Financial Faiz, with moderator Zaleha Khairene

 

  • The Internationalisation of Local Brands on 3 March 2023, with Dato’ Sri Norazman Ayob, Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of Trade and Industry; Effendy Shahul Hamid, CEO, Group Consumer & Digital Banking, CIMB Group; Datuk Radzuan Radziwill, Zura Zabidi (founder of Larney); and Zaleha Khairene

 

  • Brands that Outlive their Founders on 4 March 2023, with Ahmad Shahriman Mohd Shariff, CEO, CIMB Islamic; Financial Faiz; Sulaiman Idris of Omar Ali; Vivy Yusof (Co-Founder, FV Group) and Zaleha Khairene.

 

The bazaar is open from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily for public to visit the pop-up booths by the participating brands to do their early Hari Raya shopping.
