Six awards from Alpha Southeast Asia 12th Annual Best Financial Institutions Awards, and two from Asiamoney Best Bank Awards 2018
Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Group (“the Group” or “CIMB”) was recently crowned top for its outstanding capabilities in the investment banking, trade finance and SME segments, through eight prestigious local and regional awards by Alpha Southeast Asia and Asiamoney.
Under the Alpha Southeast Asia 12th Annual Best Financial Institution Awards 2018, CIMB swept six awards which included Best Equity House (Malaysia), Best Institutional Broker (Indonesia), Best Retail Broker (Indonesia), and Best Islamic Finance Investment Bank (Malaysia), signifying the Group’s strong in-house capabilities in the capital markets, equities, and trade finance space. Established in 2007, Alpha Southeast Asia is an independent institutional investment magazine with a pure Southeast Asian focus. In almost every award category, the winners are awarded on the basis of performance and growth over the past one year. In addition, CIMB also bagged two awards at the Asiamoney Best Bank Awards (Malaysia) 2018 under the categories of Best Corporate and Investment Bank, and Best SME Bank.
