Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Bank (M) Berhad ("CIMB" or "the Bank") today launched Biz123, a holistic one-stop platform that offers a complete range of solutions for businesses, from sole proprietorships and enterprises to SMEs. On hand to officiate the launch was Group Chief Executive of CIMB Group as well as CEO of CIMB Bank (Malaysia), Tengku Dato' Sri Zafrul Aziz, who was accompanied by the CEO of CIMB Group's Commercial Banking, Yong Jiunn Run. The launch was attended by 150 guests, including many of CIMB's commercial banking clients.
During the launch, Tengku Zafrul said, “We fully understand the challenges that businesses face, from making the best use of capital and abiding by regulations to managing a workforce and delivering the best customer experience. For companies to achieve all these, the right support - on issues like working capital, facility financing, cash management and sound advisory - is crucial to enable them to scale up faster. Biz123 is aimed at providing this very support based on simplified processes to help businesses thrive towards greater heights. In short, it brings to life our new brand promise, Forward, which is built on empowering our customers to advance towards their goals, dreams and ambitions at whichever stage of growth they may be."
Biz123's value proposition was premised on three key points - fast and easy; complete solutions and one-stop support - that were aimed at helping businesses grow and prosper. The first value proposition, Fast and Easy Tools, includes, among others, convenient online account opening; instant account number upon completion of application; e-alerts on account activities via BizAlert; simpler documentation; and faster loan disbursement upon receiving complete documentation (for selected industry segments).
The second value proposition, Complete Solutions, meets businesses' needs via a wide range of products ranging from accounts and deposits, financing for purchase of commercial, industrial and residential properties as well as various other business-focused packages.
The third value proposition, One-Stop Support, offers, among others, a dedicated business call centre; a new website (biz123.cimb.com) designed to cater to business owners; and dedicated relationship managers for businesses.
The launch was followed by a dialogue and networking session, featuring three of CIMB’s business clients, Dang Tai Luk (CEO of Bison Consolidated Berhad which operates a convenience-store chain myNEWS.com); Charlie Lau (Managing Director of logistics company Freight Mark (M) Sdn Bhd) and Dato’ Goh Cheh Yak (Managing Director of healthcare-store chain Gintell (M) Sdn Bhd). The three entrepreneurs shared valuable insights and lessons learnt, as well as the challenges they had faced and overcome in their journey of building a successful business.
