Rewards cardmembers up to 7% cash rebate at all PETRONAS Stations nationwide
Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Bank Berhad (CIMB Bank) and PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB), the domestic retail arm of PETRONAS, are pleased to announce that they have commemorated their seventh year partnership with the relaunch of CIMB PETRONAS MasterCard.
With the newly enhanced card, cardmembers can enjoy up to 7% cash rebate when they use their CIMB PETRONAS MasterCard at all PETRONAS stations nationwide. Customers will get 3% cash rebate on PETRONAS spend in normal course. If their credit card statement balance is more than RM3,000, customers will get 7% cash rebates for PETRONAS spend. Additionally, customers will get 0.2% for other retail outlets spend all year long.
Besides the best year-long cash rebates on petrol spend in town, cardmembers can get benefits by using their credit card in Perodua, Nissan, Lim Tayar and Cars International for their car service and product needs. These are on top of merchant discount and offers customers can get at over 4,000 outlets as CIMB cardmembers.
The CIMB PETRONAS MasterCard relaunch, which includes the CIMB PETRONAS MasterCard and the CIMB Islamic PETRONAS MasterCard, was held in PETRONAS’s busiest service station in town, the PETRONAS Station Minyak Bestari at Jalan Kolam Ayer Lama, Ampang.
In a chat session at the event, Tengku Dato’ Zafrul Aziz, Group Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Group said, “CIMB PETRONAS MasterCard has proven to be very popular with customers, and through the years, we have acquired more than 100,000 customers. In conjunction with the relaunch, crowd engagement activities were organised to draw public to the station. DJs from the ERA FM Squad, Adi and Hani were on ground making announcements over the radio enticing fuel drivers to make a stop at the petrol station while encouraging passersby from the nearby eateries to participate in the activities. Apart from the adorable appearance of the CIMB Octo mascot and the fantastic performance from the energetic Samba Camara of South America, the public were spoilt with many free gifts such as free ice cream and CIMB Octo soft toys, not to mention the exciting prizes such as RM100 PETRONAS Gift Cards to be won.
CIMB Bank mobile sale force team members were also present to promote the card. Newly signups were given cash vouchers as credit card submission gifts and free ice cream to encourage the crowd to sign up for the credit card.
PETRONAS currently has a retail network of more than 1,000 stations nationwide. Its retail convenience store, Kedai Mesra is available at more than 750 stations and boasts the largest number of automated teller machines (ATMs) within the petro-mart industry in the country.
