The one week-long virtual event is part of CIMB’s strong emphasis on delighting and optimising customers’ experience.
Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Bank (“CIMB” or “the Bank”) today kick-started the first day of its customer appreciation week called “CIMB WoWeek! 2021”, which aims to honour and delight its customers who have shown steadfast confidence and trust in CIMB. Held virtually from 18 to 23 October, the one week-long event provides customers the opportunity to catch inspiring success stories by homegrown entrepreneurs, indulge in culture and craft via CIMB Artober 2021 participating galleries, enjoy sensational performances by local artists, as well as opportunities to enter contests and stand a chance to win attractive prizes.

CIMB WoWeek! 2021 will showcase exciting and insightful talk shows, and feature notable speakers such as Zainariah Johari, Head for Arts and Public Spaces at Yayasan Hasanah, Izan Satrina, Chief Executive Officer of the Cultural Economy Development Agency, CENDANA, Mohd Nizam Rahmat, Chief Executive Officer of Segaris Art Centre, Kenny Teng, Director of G13 Gallery and Scarlette Lee, Director of Core Design Gallery. Prabakaran Sangarajoo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Business and Growth of Touch ‘n Go, Danny Chua Khi Siang, Chief Commercial Officer of Touch ‘n Go Digital.
The event also features homegrown entrepreneurs from a celebrity chef to micro business owners to the co-founder of Malaysia’s first unicorn company. These include Datuk Dr. Chef Wan, Malaysia’s celebrity chef and restaurant owner of De.Wan 1958, Teoh Jiun Ee (JT), Carsome Co-Founder & Director of Carsome Academy, William Cheah, founder of the Kembara Kitchen social enterprise, Loi Tuan Ee, founder of Farm Fresh and Nana Khan, founder of Rotan Lot, Alya b Abdullah, owner of Kampong Kravers, Aqim Marzuki, founder of Cattle Queen Ranch and Shiva Kumar, owner of La Bodega.
Alumni of the CIMB Islamic-Taylor’s Entrepreneurship Programme, a joint CSR programme between Taylor’s Education Group and CIMB Islamic aimed at developing micro and nano businesses from the Projek Perumahan Rakyat (“PPR”) communities will also be making an appearance. The alumni lineup that will be featured in this event will comprise of Krishna Priya (Salam Mercu Muruku, 2017’s Alumni), Noor Akmar Harun (Welding, 2018’s Alumni) and Norasikin Maakim (Kakkin Perfect Photography, 2019’s Alumni).
The event will be hosted by Terry Ong, renowned radio announcer and voiceover artist alongside Shannen Jade Totten, Miss Charm Malaysia 2021. On the last day of the event, there will be sensational live performances by top local artists such as Aina Abdul, Black Hanifah, Hael Husaini, Hazama, Saint Kylo and Dayang Nurfaizah.
