27 September 2019

Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Bank Berhad (“CIMB Bank”) and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (“CIMB Islamic”) [collectively “CIMB”] announced that effective 27 September 2019, CIMB will no longer charge fees for credit card and financing repayments by cheque and cash, whether performed over-the-counter or at self-service terminals.

The cessation of fees will benefit customers who make payments for Credit Cards, Home Financing, Auto Financing, ASB Financing, and Personal Financing through those channels. While 98% of our banking transactions are completed digitally, we will continue to facilitate banking at our branches and SSTs for our customers’ convenience.

CIMB would also like to clarify that service fees have never been applicable to SME and Enterprise Banking products, senior citizens and customers who are differently abled.
