CIMB Group’s investment banking and securities business in Indonesia is offered through PT CIMB Securities Indonesia, which was established in Jakarta in 1991. Over the years, the Jakarta office has built up an excellent franchise in institutional equities, especially in institutional sales, trading and research.

Recognising the potential of the retail market, we gradually developed a name in retail equities, culminating in the setting-up of three retail branches in Surabaya, Bandung and Jakarta.

In addition to equities trading, our office also offers corporate finance advisory and investment banking services.

PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, established in 1955, is the Group’s consumer banking arm in Indonesia. In November 2008, Bank Niaga merged with PT Bank Lippo Tbk to form Indonesia’s fifth largest bank by assets. The merged bank was rebranded as CIMB Niaga. This merger was Indonesia’s first banking merger under the government’s Single Presence Policy (SPP). CIMB Group has a 78.3% stake in CIMB Niaga.

CIMB Niaga offers a comprehensive range of banking products and services, both conventional and Shariah, through a network of 641 branches in 120 cities across Indonesia.

Combining the inherent strengths of Bank Niaga in home loans and corporate banking with Bank Lippo’s leadership in retail banking and payment process, CIMB Niaga is poised for growth and enhanced strength in service delivery.

CIMB Niaga is supported by close to 12,000 professional employees and forms part of CIMB Group’s regional universal banking platform.
